What We Do
The Friends of Max Hayes connects students with industry through programs that prepare them for careers in the skilled trades.
• Student Skills Showcase: An annual capstone event where students present hands-on projects to employers, educators, and community leaders. In 2026, more than 75 students shocased their work
to 25 industry partners.
• Ninth Grade Speaker Series: Industry professionals introduce students to skilled trades career pathways.
• Technical Advisory Committee (TAC): Employers help align curriculum with workforce needs and expand credentialing opportunities. In 2025–2026, 14 students earned EPA Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) Certification through a Sherwin Williams partnership that started with the TAC.
• Program Support: We secure equipment, certifications,
supplies, and other resources that enhance hands-on learning.
