Work-Based Learning

Work-based Learning (WBL) includes developing and providing input in design and implementation of in-class and out-of-class curriculum and experiential learning activities connecting students to the world of work and integrating academic and technical skills.

  • In-class activities could include design of project-based learning with an entrepreneurial focus and strengthening employer engagement such as participation in class projects, presentations to students, mock interviews, participation on advisory committees and input on curricular enhancements to strengthen student learning.
  • Out-of-class activities would include Job Shadowing, Company Tours, Mentors, Internships, participation in student organizations such as SkillsUSA and connecting with learning opportunities such as those provided by Motogo.
